Is it free to use?
Yes – you can analyse listings from AutoScout24.de, Kleinanzeigen and autoland.de for free. Listings from mobile.de are free for users in Germany. For listings from platforms abroad (e.g. AutoScout24 in other countries, willhaben.at), 3 analyses are free. The on-site inspection at a partner workshop costs €118 incl. VAT.
Do I need to register?
No. You can use InseratCheck straight away without registering. An account is optional – if you register, you can save your analyses and find them again later.
Which platforms are supported?
You can currently analyse listings from AutoScout24 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, the Netherlands and other EU countries), Kleinanzeigen, willhaben.at and autoland.de directly via their link. For mobile.de you can copy and paste the listing text manually – only the text is then analysed, without photos and structured data such as mileage or price. Direct URL support for mobile.de is planned.
Can I compare several vehicles?
There is no automatic comparison yet. However, you can analyse several vehicles one after the other and compare the results yourself.
Does InseratCheck replace a professional vehicle inspection?
No. InseratCheck analyses the information in the listing – it does not replace an on-site inspection. You can book one directly with us: a partner workshop near you inspects the vehicle for €118 incl. VAT, and you receive an inspection report.
How reliable are the results?
The analysis is based on the information in the listing. Missing or incorrect information in the listing can affect the result. InseratCheck detects typical risk signals – but does not replace a vehicle history report or an expert appraisal.
Is my data stored?
We save analysis results without any link to you personally. If you have an account, your analyses are assigned to your account so you can find them again. More in our privacy policy.
How does booking an on-site inspection work?
You choose a partner workshop near the vehicle and suggest your preferred dates. The request is free and non-binding. As soon as the workshop confirms an appointment, you pay online (€118 incl. VAT). After the inspection, you receive the inspection report to download.
Can I reschedule or cancel the appointment?
Yes. Until the appointment starts, you can reschedule it free of charge or withdraw from the contract via the link in your confirmation – the amount paid is then refunded in full. If the workshop cancels, you also get your money back in full.
What is done during the on-site check?
Our partner workshops inspect the vehicle you want before you buy it, using a structured inspection report. This includes, among other things:
- Paint thickness measurement on all body panels – detects repaints and previous damage
- Body, rust & glass – visible dents, beginning rust, condition of windows
- Tyres, suspension & brakes – tread depth, tyre age, brake pads and discs, shock absorbers
- Engine bay & mechanics – oil leaks, fluid levels, drive belt, battery, engine noises
- Interior & electronics – seats, steering wheel, air conditioning, lights, wipers
- Underbody inspection – rust, frame, exhaust
- OBD fault code reading & service status – stored fault codes, maintenance due
- And much more – all documented in the inspection report
After the check you receive a complete inspection report to download — carried out by a partner workshop near you for €118 incl. VAT.
Why should I have a vehicle inspected before buying?
A listing alone tells you nothing about the actual condition of the vehicle. A professional on-site check gives you real peace of mind:
- No nasty surprises after buying — defects are found before you decide to buy, not after
- Spot repaints — the paint thickness measurement shows whether and where repair work was done
- Suspension, brakes & underbody cannot be assessed without a lift
- Go into the negotiation informed — defects found can be raised openly and reflected in the price
- Inspection report as protection — you know exactly what you are buying, in black and white
